Are you a skilled Surgical Technologist looking for a challenging and rewarding role in Obstetrics? We have an exciting opportunity for a PRN Surgical Technologist to join our team at Methodist Hospital Hill Country.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Surgical Technologist to assist with the delivery of quality surgical care in our Obstetrics department. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for gathering and preparing sterile supplies, equipment, and maintaining the sterile field during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgeon by supplying sterile instruments and supplies to the sterile field in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies according to manufacturer's recommendations and specifications for use during surgical procedures.
  • Monitor the sterile field during procedures and take appropriate measures to ensure integrity.
  • Maintain accountability for instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout the surgical procedure to ensure no foreign objects are retained in the surgical wound.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a surgical technologist program or 1-year experience in a hospital setting as a surgical technologist.
  • No license, certificate, or registration required for the Sterile Processing Department.
