Job Summary

Aspire Nursing and Rehab of Lake Park is seeking a skilled Dietary Aide/ Cook to join our team in providing exceptional care and nutrition services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and/or pre-proportion food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu, ensuring residents receive their specific meals as prescribed by the physician.
  • Food Safety and Handling: Follow proper food handling and safety techniques according to established policies and procedures, maintaining proper infection control procedures.
  • Food Presentation: Ensure food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner, using proper technique to ensure quality taste and palatability.
  • Temperature Control: Maintain proper temperature of food during preparations, ensuring food is served at proper temperature as per guidelines.
  • Record Keeping: Record food temps, refrigerator, and freezer temps.
  • Tray Line Setup: Assist with the setup of the tray line, assembling trays according to the planned menu and tray tickets, stated portion, resident food preferences, and diet order, within established time schedules.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules, cleaning, washing, and sanitizing dishes, flatware, and utensils used to serve patients and others.
  • General Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the dishwashing area, cleaning work area and equipment as assigned, and putting up stock in food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned.

  • Organizational Skills: Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Compassion and Respect: Desire to work with the elderly, be pleasant, respectful, and courteous to residents, families, visitors, and fellow employees at all times.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
