Job Title: Surgical Technologist 2

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist 2 to join our dedicated Women's Operating Room team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Surgical Technologist 2 to provide exceptional patient care and support in our state-of-the-art operating rooms. As a Surgical Technologist 2, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining aseptic technique, and expediting surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and sterile environment during surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
  • 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire.
  • BLS via AHA required.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT preferred.
