Code Enforcement Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Code Enforcement Officer to join our team at SAFEbuilt. As a Code Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing municipal, land development, and property maintenance codes to ensure compliance and maintain minimum property standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate allegations of code violations and determine the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.
- Conduct systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve minimum property standards.
- Prepare records and reports pertaining to abatements, court actions, daily activities, enforcement actions, and inspections.
- Compile documentation for and issue summons.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Experience in enforcement, security, compliance-related work, including investigating allegations, conducting research, and resolving complaints, concerns, or conflicts.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, citizens, and elected officials.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain City codes and site plans, maps, and work plans.
- Good driving record.
