Electronics Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Automation Specialist to join DataFielder Inc in Boyertown, PA.

This contract role involves designing, programming, testing, and maintaining PLC systems used in industrial automation processes within the plastics industry.

• Developing PLC programs based on project requirements and specifications for plastics manufacturing processes
• Designing and implementing control systems for automated machinery and processes within the plastics industry
• Configuring and troubleshooting PLC hardware and software components specific to plastics production lines
• Conducting testing and debugging of PLC programs to ensure proper functionality in plastics manufacturing environments
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate PLC systems with other control systems and equipment used in plastics manufacturing

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial automation principles and practices specific to plastics manufacturing processes, as well as proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram.

A relevant associate's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field is required, along with prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment within the plastics industry. Experience with Raspberry Pi for automation or control applications is a plus.

This contract position offers an estimated hourly rate of $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience.
