POSITION OVERVIEW:

This entry-level position involves the safe assembly of equipment by adhering to the guidance provided by supervisors or trainers. The assemblies vary in complexity and necessitate the use of a range of mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow detailed instructions to effectively use tools for aligning, drilling, and securing components with the appropriate fasteners and torque specifications.
  • Cut, fit, bend, and modify parts to ensure proper functionality.
  • Utilize a tape measure accurately.
  • Adhere to work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct assembly operations within designated work areas.
  • Assemble components and subassemblies accurately.
  • Drill openings for wiring, hoses, and small components.
  • Operate cutting tools such as torches or grinders to shape parts.
  • Position components and subassemblies using templates or precise measurements.
  • Install various vehicle accessories (decals, trim, etc.).
  • Lift and organize completed subassemblies and components weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Adapt to various assembly roles based on production needs.
  • Comply with verbal and written instructions.
  • Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy work environment by following established procedures and regulations.
  • Exhibit effective communication skills.
  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience with basic hand tools.
  • Experience using various small and pneumatic hand tools.
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic and use measuring instruments such as calipers and scales.
