Senior Data Analyst Bioinformatics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst Bioinformatics Specialist to join our team at Fladger Assoc. Inc.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Scientist III with a strong background in bioinformatics and data analysis to work on various projects, including designing, implementing, and deploying NGS data analysis workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience working with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, functional genomics, statistics for big data analysis, and multi-omics data integration.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's Degree from an accredited institution with one-plus years of experience in a related scientific discipline or a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with seven-plus years of experience in a STEM discipline.
You should also have a strong understanding of computational methods for NGS analysis and the usage of public data resources, as well as hands-on skills in relevant programming languages such as R, Python, Shiny, UNIX/Linux, UNIX bash shell scripting, Nextflow, and statistical software.
Apart from technical skills, you should be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and contribute to writing protocols, procedures, and technical reports.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and deploy NGS data analysis workflows for data processing, visualization, integration, and mining to support novel therapeutic target identification and disease biomarker discovery.
- Analyze next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, functional genomics, statistics for big data analysis, and multi-omics data integration.
- Develop and maintain databases, file formats, and computational tools for NGS analysis.
- Communicate results to coworkers and collaborators through presentations, reports, and written documents.
Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with pharmaceutical research.
- Knowledge of existing bioinformatics databases and file formats.
