At Bryan Health, we are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in a Clinic LPN role. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians in their medical practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical nursing care through interviews, assessments, and vital signs.
- Administer medications topically, orally, and by injection as ordered by the physician.
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures as needed.
- Prepare patients for procedures per protocol.
- Arrange diagnostic procedures and obtain prior authorizations.
- Participate in obtaining and meeting quality measures.
- Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and monitor equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- May assist physician with minor surgery.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to patient concerns or questions, and intervene to solve patient problems.
- Maintain accurate records, assist with coding and patient charges.
- Collect and properly dispose of selected specimens.
- Provide education to patients and families.
- Assist with filling and refilling prescriptions per doctor's orders.
- Cooperate with other personnel to maintain good employee and public relations.
- Inform supervisor or clinic Director of concerns or problems.
- Attend required meetings and maintain personal growth and development through workshops and in-service meetings.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Nebraska license.
- Requires knowledge of technical nursing procedures.
- Must be CPR certified.
