Main Responsibilities
  • Analyze production costs and develop comprehensive reports comparing standard costs to actuals, identifying areas of improvement.
  • Maintain and enhance the cost accounting system, leveraging expertise to optimize processes and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and analyze data, determining costs associated with business activities such as raw materials, labor, and other standard expenses.
  • Participate in physical inventories and report on results to senior management, providing key recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Assist in month-end closing by preparing journal entries related to various product lines and standard costs, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports as requested by local or executive management, utilizing analytical skills to provide valuable insights.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on cost accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements, think critically, and effectively communicate across multiple functions.
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with JD Edwards ERP system.
