Part Time High School College Coach
Uncommon Schools is a nonprofit network of high-performing, public charter schools providing an outstanding K-12 education in historically under-resourced communities.
We have proudly built schools that reflect our student population, with more than 60% of our teachers and staff across our network identifying as a person of color.
Our students persist in and graduate from college at five times the rate of their peers nationally.
We achieve this by offering strong academic, co-curricular, and social-emotional learning that prepares students for success in college and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:- Long-term coaching during "Projects": Meet with students Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 hour per week.
- Coach and travel with students to at least 6 weekend tournaments over a 6-month period.
- Chaperone students to at least 2 regional/local competitions that take place ahead of the national tournament.
- In partnership with the school-based Enrichment Program Manager, establish a family communication protocol using the Remind app to update families about competition, after school practices, and any other time outside of school that students will be doing.
- Up to 2 hours per week preparing for Projects, competitions, and after school practices.
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate College Coach to join our team at Uncommon Schools. If you are committed to helping high school students achieve their college goals, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
