Cost Estimator

McC Inc dba McCormick Construction Company is seeking a skilled Financial Estimator to join our team.

The Financial Estimator will be responsible for analyzing costs to accurately assess the financial requirements for project completion or delivery of goods and services to clients. This involves conducting thorough research on material costs, transportation expenses, labor fees, and equipment expenditures.

• Conduct cost analysis for materials, transportation, labor, and equipment.
• Cultivate and manage professional relationships with contractors and vendors.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and contractors within set deadlines, distribute bids among multiple parties to determine the most competitive option for our estimates.
• Evaluate project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Prepare and submit detailed cost breakdowns and proposals for project work.
• Collaborate on contract bids and provide support to procurement team.
• Monitor project costs at various stages to ensure adherence to budget.
• Maintain updated information and communication in Salesforce, with consistent follow-up on proposal statuses.

• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, estimating software, and

• Strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and effective time management abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance, accounting, statistics, or another related field.
• Training in estimating or project management with relevant work experience.
• 2+ years of experience working as an Estimator.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Walking short distances.
• Bending, stooping or twisting.
• Reaching above and/or below shoulders.
• Clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in person and/or on the telephone.
• Requires exertion of force of 25 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and/or 5 pounds continuously to lift/carry/move objects, files and documents.

Work is performed primarily in an office environment using standard office equipment.
