Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Gameplay Systems: Collaborate with designers, artists, and other engineers to design and implement gameplay systems that meet our design vision and performance goals.
  • Optimize Gameplay Performance: Analyze and improve the performance of gameplay systems to ensure smooth and responsive player experiences on a range of hardware configurations.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented development environment.
  • Debug and Resolve Complex Issues: Identify and fix bugs, optimize code, and troubleshoot issues in gameplay systems to ensure stability and reliability in the final product.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 Years of Game Programming Experience: Shipped at least 1 AAA title with a strong background in game programming.
  • Proficient in C/C++: Experience with C/C++ programming languages and their applications in game development.
  • Experience in Gameplay Systems: Experience in designing and implementing gameplay systems, including quests and narrative content systems, user interface, player abilities, combat, AI, or other game systems.
  • Experience Working with Multi-Disciplinary Teams: Experience working with designers, artists, and other engineers to iterate on gameplay features.
  • Self-Motivation and Willingness to Participate: Self-motivation and willingness to participate in many areas of game development.
Bonus Requirements:
  • In-Depth Familiarity with the Diablo Franchise: In-depth familiarity with the Diablo franchise and other Blizzard Entertainment products.
  • Experience with C#: Experience with C# programming language and its applications in game development.
  • Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Equivalent Experience: A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent experience.
