We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist (Meds-to-Beds) to join our team at St. Claire HealthCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret prescriptions and drug profiles to ensure appropriate drug therapy has been prescribed.
- Consult with physicians and other practitioners to optimize drug therapy and ensure patient-centered care.
- Maintain inventory and records on narcotics and other forms of drugs.
- Provide accurate information on medication use, possible side effects, and drug interactions to patients and their caregivers.
- Participate in the routine supervision and training of technical staff related to daily operations of drug distribution.
- Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy, possessing either a BS in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
- Must possess a license to practice pharmacy in the state of Kentucky.
The work environment is a fast-paced healthcare setting with moderate noise levels. The employee works in an area with good lighting and climate control.
