Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Lab Scientist I role is an entry-level opportunity that operates under the guidance of senior technical staff. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting complex serological and molecular HLA testing and interpreting results.
- Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Monitoring inventory levels of reagents and performing quality control on new supplies.
- Processing cells and sera as part of testing procedures.
- Maintaining proficiency and competency in all tests performed.
- Staying informed about relevant federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited institution in Medical Technology or a biological science.
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or a limited license relevant to the responsibilities.
- New graduates from CLS training are welcome; prior experience in HLA testing is not required.
- Preferred: Limited CLS License in HLA with two years of relevant experience.
Work Environment
This position is categorized as full-time, with day shifts lasting 8 hours.
