Duties and Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and cardiac arrhythmia recognition to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Assess patient care requirements during and after sedation/analgesia administration, including the recovery phase.
  • Understand the principles of oxygen delivery, respiratory physiology, transport, and uptake, and demonstrate the ability to use oxygen delivery devices.
  • Recognize potential complications of sedation/analgesia for each type of agent being administered.
  • Assess, diagnose, and intervene in the event of complications or undesired outcomes, and institute nursing interventions in compliance with orders or institutional protocols.
  • Demonstrate competency in airway management and resuscitation, meeting facility requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Education and Experience
  • A Registered Nursing License in the state of Ohio (RN or LPN) is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Sufficient strength to assist with lifting and transferring patients, perform CPR, and stand for long periods.
  • Sufficient mobility to bend, stoop, and move around rapidly, and to move in small, confined areas.
