The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents in a long-term care setting. This position requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing.
- Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises to residents as needed.
- Assist with food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
