Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified 5th Grade Teacher to fill a long-term substitute position. The ideal candidate will have experience working with intermediate-level students and possess a valid Washington State teaching certificate.

Responsibilities
  • Teach 5th grade students in a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Common Core State Standards
  • Use technology to enhance instruction and student learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
  • Participate in regular observations and coaching to improve instructional practices
Requirements
  • Valid Washington State teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement
  • Experience working with diverse learning capabilities, including special education and gifted students
  • Ability to prepare students for Smarter Balanced assessment
  • Preference given to candidates with team environment experience
