Pediatric Psychiatrist Position in Kentucky

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Pediatric Psychiatrist to join our team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional care to children and adolescents. Located in the heart of Kentucky, our organization provides a supportive environment for career growth and development.
Estimated Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides psychiatric clinical services to children and adolescents, including evaluation, follow-up, medication, emergency/crisis intervention, and telephone consultation.
- Collaborates with mental health staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Oversees the quality of psychiatric care administered to children and adolescents through direct observation, case review, and interdepartmental communication.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, providing input on resource management, staffing, and policy development.
- Provides consultation services for families, network agencies, and community practitioners.
- Assists in developing system-wide policies and procedures to improve quality of services.
- Facilitates efforts to maintain accreditation by ensuring accurate documentation is recorded and maintained.
- Provides staff training on relevant medical topics.
Requirements:
- Degree in Psychiatry, including completion of internship and residency.
- Special training in pediatric psychiatry.
- Kentucky medical license.
- Eligibility to be board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Federal narcotics license.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
Experience:
- Six months of structured experiential learning (e.g., practicum or learning lab) in the field of pediatrics.
