River Terrace Retirement Community is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Assistant to join our team in Bluffton, IN.
Key Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications to patients and maintain accurate medical records under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.
- Verify patient identity and record medication administration details on specified forms or records.
- Present medication to patients and observe ingestion or application, or administer medication as needed.
- Take vital signs and observe patients to detect responses to medications, preparing reports or notifying designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
- Document reasons for non-administration of prescribed drugs.
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding, as well as assisting with examinations and treatments.
- Receive and manage medication supplies, apportioning, mixing, or assembling drugs for administration to patients.
- Record and restock medication inventories.
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program with successful Qualified Medication Aide designation requirements.
