Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist position at Avon Hospital involves evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' communication and swallowing needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address patients' goals and objectives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in speech therapy
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Ohio Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience in acute care and modified barium swallow studies preferred
