We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber-Physical Systems Engineer to join our team at Bloomfield Robotics.

About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the development of our FLASH camera system, a critical component of our cyber-physical systems. You will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining new features, collaborating with the Flash hardware team, and debugging complex scenarios.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust cyber-physical systems that enable data collection in the field.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new Flash functionality and ensure seamless system operation.
  • Develop and maintain software components, including image processing, stereo vision, and GNSS systems.
  • Enhance the performance of existing software components and ensure compatibility with Linux and embedded Linux systems.
  • Support quality through test automation and develop simulation and test tooling.
  • Participate in hands-on hardware debugging and field testing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with low-level systems languages like C, C++, Rust, or Zig.
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 or other robotics middleware platforms.
  • Experience with Linux and/or embedded Linux systems.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
  • Familiarity with machine learning integration and deployment.
