  • Perform ultrasound examinations and communicate clinical findings to radiologists.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, addressing their concerns and inquiries.
  • Ensure precise alignment and exposure by positioning patients and equipment appropriately.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment proficiently to produce high-quality images, adjusting settings for optimal results.
  • Monitor patient well-being throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Review and process images to maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to adhere to diagnostic protocols.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework guided towards ARDMS Board certification.
  • Hands-on clinical ultrasound experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS Board certification required.
  • ARRT (R) and Vermont State Radiologic Technician license is a plus.
  • Current health care provider BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
