Job Title: Highly Specialized Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

The TotalMed team is seeking a skilled and dedicated Neonatal Registered Nurse to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. As a highly specialized Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to newborns in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) or Neonatal settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates, assessing their health status, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans for neonates and their families.
  • Perform neonatal assessments, including developmental screenings and feeding evaluations, to ensure optimal growth and development.
  • Educate parents on newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, and neonatal health issues for a smooth transition to home care.
Required Qualifications:
  • Current RN license.
  • BLS certification.
  • Two years of recent Neonatal RN experience.
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills.
