Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant (MA) will play a vital role in the coordination of direct patient care activities and providing clinical support to providers within our clinical practices. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and technical skills to ensure seamless patient flow and exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:

⁠ Manage the coordination and flow of patients throughout their visit to create an exceptional patient experience.

⁠ Proactively obtain any missing information from the patient to ensure that medical records are accurate and up-to-date.

⁠ Capture patient's vital signs, past medical, social and family history, medication usage, and preferred pharmacy.

⁠ Perform phlebotomy, administer medication and injections, and perform EKG's, PFT's spirometry, nebulizer treatments, and ear irrigations as directed by the Physician/Provider.

⁠ Maintain all certifications/licensures as required by the scope of the role being performed.

Requirements:

⁠ High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency

⁠ Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information

⁠ Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days

⁠ Prior working experience in a medical office/clinic performing clinical MA duties or a Certified MA from the National Health Career Association (NHA)

Preferred Requirements:

⁠ Current MA Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, AAMP

⁠ Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with current Licensure without restrictions
