We are seeking a Lead Systems Architect - Command & Telemetry Solutions to contribute to the development and upkeep of Command & Telemetry software systems. The selected candidate will engage in comprehensive Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives to ensure seamless integration with our ground segment. They will also be responsible for crafting clear and actionable user stories that are ready for development and collaborating with the team to maintain accurate story point estimations. Additionally, the Lead Systems Architect will assist in the development and maintenance of ground systems and aid in defining operational concepts and procedural planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements, define system interfaces, and assist in determining validation and verification methods for the testing team.
- Provide engineering support for the execution of various testing programs.
- Facilitate verification, validation, and regression testing across all deliverable releases.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Possession of an active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is mandatory prior to employment commencement.
- Experience in Agile or DevOps environments, collaborating closely with software, integration, and verification teams to develop and maintain requirements and documentation.
- Comprehensive understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Experience in systems engineering roles, particularly in operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis, interface definition, and verification/validation processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Satellite Command and Control systems.
- Familiarity with program domain operations.
- Background in development within government contracts.
- Experience with the Nightwing software product line.
- Proficiency in application lifecycle management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of automation techniques and experience with Linux or Unix command line interfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of management and team members.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment.
