About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handling Supervisor to join our team at BlueOval SK LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily material handling functions, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials to production lines.
  • Develop and implement efficient material handling processes to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
  • Lead and manage a team of hourly personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary resources and training to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and logistics, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in material handling operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in material planning and logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to travel to other facilities or locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Experience with Common Manufacturing Management System (CMMS) or similar ERP systems.
