Mission Hospital is seeking a skilled Renal Registered Nurse to join our team in a full-time, day shift position. As a Renal Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients with varying stages of renal disease, including chronic kidney disease, acute renal failure, and end-stage renal disease.
- Collaborate with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, including peritoneal dialysis.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Participate in patient and family education, providing information on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the improvement of patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- One year of RN experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Preferred: National certification in nephrology nursing.
