About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Jukebox Health. As a Gerontology Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping older adults successfully age in place by providing home safety checkups and personalized recommendations for home modifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home safety checkups with clients and caregivers to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop personalized reports outlining basic home modifications and activity modifications to enhance safety and independence.
  • Educate clients and caregivers on fall prevention strategies and techniques.
  • Establish rapport and engage in collaborative discussions with clients and caregivers to meet their individual needs.
  • Coordinate responses to inbound inquiries from clients.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • California State OT registration and licensure.
  • Availability for home safety checkups in California.
  • Experience working with the geriatric population (1-3 years preferred).
  • Effective communication and clinical reasoning skills.
  • A passion for helping older adults achieve their goal of aging in place.
