Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team. The Physical Therapist will provide specialized physical therapy services to students with diverse needs, promoting their physical health and well-being in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students, including one-on-one sessions and group therapy
  • Collaborate with school-based teams, including teachers, administrators, and other support staff, to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plans
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records, including progress reports and treatment plans
  • Develop and implement educational programs for school staff, parents, and caregivers to promote physical health and wellness
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in physical therapy and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Mississippi
  • Certification in Pediatric Physical Therapy (preferred)
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents with diverse needs, including those with physical disabilities and special needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
