Position Overview:
The Pet Care Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, efficient, and healthy environment for animals in our care, whether they are in daycare, boarding, or grooming.
1. Ensuring the cleanliness of the facility, including the kennel areas, play areas, and outdoor spaces.
2. Providing appropriate meals to daycare and boarding pets as needed.
3. Observing and documenting important details regarding the animals' health, behavior, and habits (such as eating and elimination).
4. Walking the animals multiple times a day or as directed.
5. Reporting any unusual medical or behavioral issues to the management team.
6. Managing laundry tasks throughout the day and keeping the laundry area organized.
7. Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels for food, cleaning supplies, and other necessary items.
Additionally, you will be responsible for completing other tasks as assigned by the Resort Manager or other leadership to ensure the highest level of pet care, customer service, and overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
• Physical and mental capability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
