Position: Leasing Consultant - Affordable Housing

Role Summary

We seek a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic work setting and takes pride in their responsibilities. Experience with LIHTC/Affordable compliance is advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service and sales abilities, along with strong multitasking and problem-solving skills. They should be capable of responding swiftly and appropriately to urgent situations while maintaining excellent communication. This role requires a commitment to providing outstanding service and fostering a sense of community among residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of apartment leasing, including move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
  • Preferred experience in LIHTC/Affordable compliance.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to prospective and current residents to maximize occupancy and enhance resident retention.
    • Maintain a welcoming and supportive presence for all residents and potential clients.
    • Respond professionally to inquiries via walk-ins, phone calls, and emails.
    • Conduct guided tours of the property for both scheduled and walk-in visitors.
    • Prepare lease agreements and renewal documents accurately.
    • Assist in organizing community events and activities for residents.
    • Support the coordination of maintenance service requests from residents.
  • Accurately record necessary data using Yardi Property Management software.
  • Generate reports and manage routine correspondence and documentation.
  • Collaborate on property marketing strategies in line with established guidelines.
  • Assist in updating advertisements and listings, particularly through third-party Independent Listing Services (ILS).
  • Provide general administrative support to the Community Director and perform other assigned tasks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recordkeeping to maintain compliance with affordable housing regulations.
