Volt is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer 3 to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for providing on-site design assistance to our San Antonio depot and customer bases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site design assistance to ensure the development of high-quality aircraft structures.
  • Interface with company and customer representatives to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide context and requirement interpretation for all aircraft fuselage, wing, and empennage structure design.
  • Develop and implement design changes, repairs, and modifications of metallic and composite aircraft structures.
  • Participate in design change development, release, and implementation.
  • Provide assistance to team members in the use of Aircraft NX/Teamcenter tools.
  • Support Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) reporting and documentation requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
  • Experience with design tools NX, Teamcenter, and CAD software.
  • Prior experience in the military or civilian aircraft industry.
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification work.
  • Prior manufacturing experience.

Compensation:

$65-$75 per hour. Pay range may vary based on factors such as education, work experience, and specific job duties.
