We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Unit Supervisor in our Progressive Care Unit (Unit 25) at Inova Alexandria Hospital.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor will serve as a front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit.
- Embrace, use, and understand the research behind nursing practice and quality tools.
- Support unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes.
- Act as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- A Bachelors Degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must be within 1 year of completing their BSN.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
- Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 1 year from date of hire.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
Inova offers a competitive salary range of $101,145 - $141,370 per annum, based on experience.
