Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist, Per Diem

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist to assist our surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of surgical procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of care.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict aseptic techniques.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and equipment.
  • Assist with the care and maintenance of surgical specimens and equipment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in surgical technology and patient care.
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) in compliance with MA state law.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
  • High school graduate with successful completion of an approved Surgical Technology Program.
