Job Summary: Our Emergency Department RNs are essential in providing critical care to patients during their most vulnerable moments. They must be adept at managing a variety of emergency situations across all age groups. The ideal candidates will possess the ability to swiftly assess incoming patients, addressing both physical and mental health concerns, and prioritize their medical needs effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current CPR Health Care Provider Certification - Required
- At least 18 months of nursing experience in an ED setting
- Recent ED experience within the last six months
- Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare personnel
Certifications Required:
- ACLS - AHA
- BLS - AHA
- NIHSS
- NJ or Compact RN License
- PALS - AHA
Work Environment: This role is situated in a fast-paced Emergency Department with high patient acuity. The department may handle a significant patient volume daily, including a notable number of stroke cases per shift. Candidates should be prepared to float within the department as needed.
