Maintenance Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Yanfeng US Automotive Interior Systems II LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain all equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems, and make necessary corrections and adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Examine and test equipment after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Record operational data, such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds, and speeds, for use in set-up and preventive maintenance records.
  • Facilitate equipment moves on the shop floor to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide technical advice on equipment specifications, manufacturing, maintainability, and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
  • Set up requisitions for supplies, equipment, and facilities to ensure timely delivery.
  • Participate in the management of spare parts and consumables inventory to minimize downtime.
  • Keep up-to-date documentation related to maintenance to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Review Production System Efficiency and Quality System Efficiency workshops to support continuous improvement, and propose and implement productivity, process, and quality improvement actions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in maintenance or engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Ability to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants, which may require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic prints.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues, including 24v DC, 120v, 240v, and 3-phase electronic circuits.
  • Experience operating basic shop tools.
  • Journeyman Electrical License.
  • Welding experience.
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
  • Excellent electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuit troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Journeyman Electrical License.
