LICENSED ARMED SECURITY OFFICER

Employment Type: Full-Time 1st SHIFT

Available Shifts: Monday through Sunday

Shift Hours: 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM

Starting Pay: $17.05 to $17.55 per hour
* Initial 16 hours of orientation training compensated at $12.00 per hour. Following this, site-specific training is provided at $17.05 per hour.

Mission Statement: Are you prepared to collaborate with Local and Federal Law Enforcement? We are seeking committed professionals who can perform at an elevated standard. Your role will be to safeguard lives and assets in accordance with Homeland Security protocols.

Make a significant impact by becoming a member of our Critical Infrastructure Security Team, dedicated to protecting our nation. We are looking for highly trained Armed "G" License Officers for security access responsibilities. Selected candidates must demonstrate reliability, adherence to instructions, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control access to secured areas designated for cleared individuals.
  • Potential assignments at various job sites within the Tampa Bay Area.
  • Compensation may vary based on the location of the work site.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of an approved Florida Class "D" & "G" license from the DOACS, along with completion of the required security officer courses.
  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • At least one year of experience in security or a supervisory role.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable personal transportation for commuting to assigned job sites.
  • Access to a smartphone and computer with internet capability.
  • Intermediate computer skills, particularly in email, web browsing, MS Word, and Adobe PDF.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physical capability to navigate various work environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of or willingness to apply for the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (T.W.I.C.).
  • Familiarity with security and law enforcement protocols.
  • Knowledge of local laws and regulations.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain.
  • Military or law enforcement experience is preferred.
  • Encouragement for Women, Minorities, and Veterans to apply.
  • Higher education is strongly preferred.
