POSITION TITLE: Café Attendant

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage

SUPERVISOR: Venue Manager

Position Overview: Under the direct guidance of the Venue Manager and Lead Barista, the Café Attendant is responsible for ensuring smooth and friendly food and beverage services. This includes welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, and delivering knowledgeable service with a cheerful demeanor. Adherence to company standards and recipes is paramount, and the role requires collaboration within a team environment while complying with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow established recipes and standards for beverage preparation.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of menu offerings.
  • Deliver prompt and efficient service at all times.
  • Notify management of low stock or equipment issues.
  • Present menus, address inquiries, and provide recommendations to guests.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of food and beverage options.
  • Ensure a positive dining experience for all patrons.
  • Provide tray service as needed.
  • Exhibit exceptional guest service skills.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding orders.
  • Attend to guest requests and ensure proper service protocols are followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas and perform additional duties as required.
  • Process orders and prepare beverages for guests.
  • Serve beverages while ensuring compliance with legal age regulations.
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Assist with various tasks such as seating guests and clearing tables.
  • Prepare and stock necessary items for service.
  • Complete assigned side work as directed by management.
  • Foster good communication with colleagues and maintain a professional atmosphere.
  • Adhere to attendance policies.
  • Support the overall operation of the venue in a cost-effective manner.
  • Help train new staff members.
  • Represent the company positively and respectfully.
