Job Title: Associate Design Engineer I

As an Associate Design Engineer I, you will play a key role in promoting Fluor's competitiveness in the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence.

This role has the responsibility to support the Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects or perform work on routine scope engineering assignments and perform specific and limited portions of engineering assignments.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and tasks, including:

  • Performing and checking routine calculations, specifying simple equipment, and solving problems of simple engineering complexity
  • Reviewing vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seeking discrepancy resolution
  • Participating in equipment and material procurement activities
  • Adhering to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
  • Analyzing and making independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
  • Organizing and prioritizing a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
