Job Overview

The County of Los Angeles is seeking a Public Health Nursing Supervisor to lead our community wellness initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising nursing and other personnel in the provision of nursing services at the individual, family, community, and systems level.

About the Role
  • We are looking for an experienced nurse with a strong background in public health nursing and supervision.
  • You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the nursing components of departmental public health programs.
  • You will provide supervision and consultation to nursing and other staff, including training, instruction, and evaluation.
  • You will assist a nurse manager in budgeting, programming, staffing, in-service training, and other activities related to the administration of a departmental public health program.
About You
  • You have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • You possess public health nursing experience, preferably in a local public health or community agency.
  • You have a Master's degree from an accredited college/university in Public Health or Nursing (optional).
  • You are certified in accordance with American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program (optional).
