Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Director to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the daily food service operations in a healthcare environment. This includes overseeing the selection, development, and performance management of employees, as well as ensuring excellent customer service and maximizing revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation of food service, ensuring high-quality service and maximum revenue.
  • Manage a team of employees, including interviewing, selecting, training, counseling, disciplining, and scheduling.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure customer service needs are met.
  • Ensure food quality, good service, and cleanliness are strictly adhered to.
  • Assure inventory and its protocols and systems are always maintained.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years as Food Service Director experience preferred.
  • Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of direct food service operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
  • Experience in a Healthcare environment is desirable but not required.
  • Proficient with MS Office, and other organizational computer tools.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Current ServSafe Food Handler Certificate Required.
  • Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  • High school certificate or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
