Program Director

Think Together is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Leader to join our team. As a Program Leader, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for students, providing homework assistance and academic enrichment, and promoting positive interactions between volunteers and students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic support and enrichment activities to students, using curriculum and materials provided by the program.
- Create a positive and engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging among students.
- Support students in making positive behavior choices and take disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Engage children and youth in activities and lesson plans, and assist in creating new lesson plans.
- Ensure student safety and well-being by assisting in set up, break down, and ongoing maintenance of the program area.
- Promote positive interactions between volunteers and students, and maintain student safety by taking roll and reviewing sign-in/sign-outs.
- Identify student needs and communicate with Site Coordinator, teachers, school administration, parents, and volunteers as necessary.
- Commit to a full-year program, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Participate in staff development activities and training.
- Experience working with young children and the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Proof of graduation from High School or G.E.D. Required.
- 48 college semester or 60 college quarter units required, or passing an Instructional Aide Test (in some districts).
- Ability to speak and write standard English appropriate in a public school setting.
- Must be available 5 days a week (Monday-Friday).
- Work times are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 2pm-6pm and Wednesday from 11:45am-6pm.
- Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting), provide a clear TB test, and pass Advanced Math and English skills (K–8) testing.
