Job Overview

This role is essential for supporting our Government client in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the MWR Global Internet Connect Program (ICP) across various operational locations.

Security Clearance: Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.

Work Schedule: Onsite presence required with regional travel obligations.

Role Responsibilities

The Field Service Representatives (FSRs) will collaborate as a cohesive unit of technicians, providing essential support in a 24/7 operational environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of satellite and terrestrial communication systems.
  • Conducting thorough testing and modification of equipment as necessary.
  • Managing cable networks, including VSAT, baseband, LAN, and wireless devices in accordance with established standards.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with VSAT, LAN, and wireless hardware.
  • Providing on-call support and responding to service requests using various transportation methods.
  • Facilitating the introduction of new technologies and equipment related to the MWR ICP.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Familiarity with VSAT communication equipment.
  • Understanding of IP fundamentals, Cisco routing, and firewall technologies.
  • Ability to convey technical information effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience in computer troubleshooting and repair.
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with iDirect modems.
  • Knowledge of military signal or telecommunications operations.
  • Prior overseas work experience is advantageous.
  • Understanding of military logistics and operational procedures.
Special Requirements
  • Frequent travel may be required, including military air and ground transportation.
  • Ability to adapt to a deployed environment with shared facilities.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. Passport and Driver's License.
