Position Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the retail warehouse functions. This includes managing the receipt and distribution of merchandise for our various outlets. Key responsibilities encompass stock redistribution, processing requisitions, implementing price adjustments, and managing shipping and receiving operations. Adherence to the company's mission and values is essential, along with a thorough understanding of our management systems and policies regarding hospitality, environmental stewardship, and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to ensure alignment and communication.
  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, data entry, order processing, picking, auditing, shipping, delivery, replenishment, and merchandise returns.
  • Maintain efficient product flow and ensure accuracy in processing.
  • Investigate and resolve any issues that arise between the warehouse and retail locations.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations for team members.
  • Ensure the organization and upkeep of warehouse facilities.
  • Monitor staff accountability regarding attendance, punctuality, productivity, accuracy, and safety.
  • Manage the delivery vehicle fleet in collaboration with the maintenance team.
  • Guarantee the safety and security of the facility, focusing on warehouse and delivery operations to deter theft.
  • Oversee payroll management for warehouse staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal warehouse staff, store management, and other departments.
  • Develop and maintain innovative reward systems to motivate and challenge warehouse personnel.
  • Encourage the professional development of hourly staff, promoting growth and retention within the company.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Supervise shipping operations and coordinate merchandise requisitions with the buying and merchandising teams.
  • Assist store operations as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in retail management is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based applications (Microsoft Office).
  • Experience with Retail Point-of-Sale systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
