We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY). As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine ultrasound and vascular ultrasound procedures on patients with specialized expertise.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms in a state of orderliness.
- Introduce yourself to patients, confirm identification, and explain procedures.
- Escort or transport patients to exam rooms and ensure all studies are tracked and images pushed to PACS.
- Assist in the orientation of new hires, training of ultrasound students, and supervision of students rotating from the School of Radiologic Technology.
- Perform portable ultrasound exams on a rotating basis and rotate through all tours, including weekends.
- Practice infection control, wash hands, and sanitize equipment between patients.
- Report equipment malfunctions and monitor Preventative Maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
- Meet all compliance standards, including annual physical evaluations, in-service training, and right-to-know requirements.
- ARDMS certification in Ultrasonography required.
- Proven clinical competency in Abdominal, OB/GYN, Neonatal, and Vascular Ultrasound.
- Responsible to maintain 30 CME credits within a 3-year rolling period for recertification annually.
- Attend annual In-service and Continuing Education training.
