Job Summary:

As a Housekeeping Specialist at Harvard Maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients. This role involves a variety of tasks, including:

  • Performing daily cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Restocking toilet paper, soap, and other essential supplies
  • Emptying trash and recyclables, and replacing liners
  • Moving furniture and repositioning it as needed
  • Checking trash containers and restocking carts and closets

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and urinals
  • Spot clean partition doors and walls, and clean mirrors
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and mops
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning goals
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure a smooth operation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or facilities maintenance preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
