Position Overview:
TRC is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team. This role will involve close collaboration with Client Managers and project staff to execute environmental assessments, compliance activities, and remediation efforts. We are looking for a detail-oriented, adaptable, and personable individual eager to contribute to a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex projects and provide technical guidance to meet internal and external expectations regarding scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Oversee the creation of technical documents, including project proposals, reports, and work plans.
  • Enhance and maintain existing client relationships.
  • Guide project teams through site assessments, investigations, and the development of remediation strategies.
  • Manage various field activities, including environmental assessments and subcontractor oversight.
  • Develop proposals that secure new project opportunities.
  • Ensure financial oversight of projects to achieve profitability.
  • Foster team development through mentorship and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience, Environmental, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Licensed Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer in Washington.
  • 7-20 years of experience in environmental consulting, particularly in investigation and remediation.
  • Familiarity with Washington State and Federal environmental regulations.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with an up-to-date annual refresher course.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
