Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Deployment Specialist to join our team at Tyler Technologies. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for installing and configuring hardware, software, and third-party applications remotely. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remote Installation Services: Perform remote installation services for new and existing clients in accordance with the service work order.
  • Application Installation and Configuration: Install and configure applications on a variety of server operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, UNIX, and Linux.
  • Database Management: Install and configure databases, including Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Web Server Deployment: Install, configure, and deploy web servers and web products to clients.
  • System Testing and Quality Assurance: Install, configure, and test all components to ensure they meet expected revisions and performance standards.
  • Technical Training and Support: Provide technical training to clients regarding software installation procedures as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Consult with other departments during various phases of sales and implementation processes to ensure that the correct hardware and third-party software are ordered and delivered during the correct phase.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document results of service work performed for use by internal staff.
  • Problem-Solving and Escalation: Troubleshoot and ensure the validity of architectural solutions, escalating to senior team members and department members if necessary.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Contribution: Contribute to the company knowledge library and maintain documentation in standard repositories.
  • Team Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborate with other teams, departments, and divisions with issues pertaining to Tyler software applications.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Maintenance and Growth: Be involved in the maintaining, implementation, and growth of the cloud infrastructure.
  • Vendor Partnerships and Technology Updates: Partner with product dev teams to troubleshoot and maintain scalable services, staying current with new technology options and vendor products.
  • Client Relationship Building: Build rapport with clients to turn negative situations into positive customer service experiences, prioritizing multiple and often conflicting tasks while working independently.
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate effective communication skills with a wide range of clients, from technical to non-technical, and from management to clerical.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or comparable work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience administering and installing applications on Windows or Linux servers, installing or configuring the Microsoft SQL Server database engine, proficiency with PowerShell or other scripting languages, working knowledge of server hardware and network configurations, basic knowledge of web server technology,.NET framework, and SSL security.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced technical environment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude.
