Regional Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Infusion Clinic
As a valued member of the Elevance Health network, our infusion clinic specializes in delivering critical infusible and injectable therapies through various settings, including specialty pharmacies and infusion centers.
Base Location: Remote with extensive travel requirements
Service Areas: Multiple states including GA, TN, AL, FL, OH
Work Schedule: Standard hours, Monday to Friday, with flexible shift lengths
The Regional Family Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient care within their professional scope in a clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administers prescribed therapies in accordance with established protocols and company policies.
- Facilitates the patient admission process as outlined by the Center Director.
- Conducts thorough physical assessments for patients, particularly for new consultations based on diagnosis.
- Collaborates with the on-duty Nurse Practitioner for comprehensive evaluations as necessary.
- Maintains accurate and detailed documentation in patient medical records.
- Communicates significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follows up on identified issues.
- Engages effectively with the IV team regarding patient status and relevant observations.
- Upholds patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assesses patient responses to therapies and records findings appropriately.
- Educates patients and their families about therapy plans.
- Participates in the Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Ensures all medication orders are complete and accurate prior to treatment.
- May participate in an on-call program, including after-hours and weekend responsibilities.
- Provides clinical support for nurse practitioners on leave and assists with new market launches.
- Travel may be required to various work sites and locations as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing with a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience.
- Experience with intravenous therapies is essential.
- Must possess a valid and active Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
- Multi-state licensure is necessary for providing services across state lines.
- Completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccination or signed waiver is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in infusion therapy is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel within designated regions as needed.
- Ability to cover multiple states and locations as required.
- Capacity to perform duties across various centers in a regional capacity.
- Commitment to maintaining multi-state clinical licensure.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
