- Order necessary assistive devices as required.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs.
- Modify treatment plans for patients with complex needs, consulting with the primary therapist as necessary.
- Adjust your schedule to accommodate patient caseloads and staffing requirements, ensuring productivity goals are met.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Provide written instructions for home care exercises.
- Engage in peer review processes to enhance care quality.
- Report patient progress during team meetings and discussions.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Collaborate with supervising therapists and healthcare teams regarding patient treatment and progress.

- Provide mentorship to one physical therapy assistant annually as designated by the Clinical Coordinator.
- Engage in community service activities as opportunities arise.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of therapy equipment and scheduling.
- Ensure billing practices align with established policies.
- Attend bi-monthly staff meetings and relevant service meetings.
- Achieve a minimum of 95% of established performance goals.
- Anticipate and address the needs of colleagues consistently.
- Contribute ideas and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Complete tasks beyond routine responsibilities to meet job objectives.
- Prioritize team success over individual achievements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or
- Associate's Degree required.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience; entry-level position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interacting with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities are required.
- Ability to work effectively in an independent setting.
- Specific requirements may vary based on the service area, such as Women's Health or aquatic therapy.
- Knowledge of lymphedema is advantageous.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an Associate Degree recognized by the APTA.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of IL; CPR certification is required.
